Say what you will about 2018, but at least the TV options were killer.
Of all the things that I experienced and accomplished in the past year, I’m most proud of starting this blog, and it’s been crazy too look back on all of the series, movies and documentaries I consumed in 2018 alone.
Really though, how else could I justify the following viewing history?
My favorite shows/the ones I think about most often:
Apparently my theme of the year was existential despair. After Christmas 2017 I started the year by binging all seasons of The Leftovers which, intentionally or not, completely set the tone for 2018.
All rather sad and philosophical, most quite excellent in terms of acting, production, writing and so much more. Did you watch any of these too??

Without further ado, here’s the rest of the list! The majority of these happened to be on Netflix, which made it easy to review my viewing history.
Everything I watched in 2018
Black Mirror: Season 4
Search Party: Season 2
The Alienist
Bellevue
Mosaic
The Ritual
Collateral
Annihilation
100 Code (kinda)
The Investigator: A British Crime Story: Season 1-2
The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina
The Innocent Man
The Handmaid’s Tale: Season 2
I Am A Killer
The Exorcist
Elite
Dark Places
The Forest
The Chalet
Wormwood
The End of the Fucking World
The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story
Westworld: Season 2

It wasn’t all murder! I also enjoyed:
Disenchantment
BoJack Horseman: Season 5
American Vandal: Season 2
Paradise PD
Nanette
Big Mouth: Season 2
F is for Family: Season 3
Insecure: Season 3
Atlanta: Robbin’ Season
Forever
…and hours upon hours of Bob’s Burgers for good measure.
That comes out to a grand total of:
71 things watched!
56 murdery shows
+ 15 dramas, comedies and romances
= a 78.8% murder rate
I refuse to calculate the hours spent on this list, which is likely incomplete. Not balanced by any means, but not bad. Here’s hoping for an even more exciting lineup in 2019!
