Everything I watched in 2019

So many things went down in 2019. Personally, it was a maddening and magical year that completely altered the course of my life: I started a new job, ended a relationship, connected with incredible friends, adopted a cat, fell in love with festivals, discovered drag shows and filled my weekends with adventures for the first time in years. In between those major moments, I continued to watch an impressive (excessive?) amount of TV. Just call it self-care!

I celebrated the end of 2018 by compiling a big long list of everything I watched, but this time around I want to differentiate between which shows I actually recommend, and which shows I suffered through so you don’t have to. Life is too short to slog through shows you don’t enjoy, so I want to be clear about which ones I believe are genuinely worth your time.

If you didn’t already binge them, these are the series and movies that made my year in 2019.

Non-murder favorites

Schitt’s Creek

Big Mouth: Season 3

Bojack Horseman: Season 5 + 6

Disenchantment: Part 2

Daybreak

Poldark

The Witcher

…and hours upon hours of Bob’s Burgers, naturally.

That’s a total of 84 shows and movies watched, up from 71 last year!

74 murder shows + 10 non-murder shows = 88% murder rate

Even with long breaks in between, I’m pretty proud of my watch history for 2019. Which shows and movies made your year?
